Our Prayer for Next Generation Ministry

Father, the desire of our church is to declare your works to the next generations, that they may praise You, Lord (Psalm 145:4, 102:18).

Our Story

FBC Staunton is a congregation with a heart for each generation and the community around us. We have been in the heart of our downtown Staunton, Virginia for over 170. We desire to love and follow Jesus that we may become like Jesus for the sake of our neighbors.  (learn more about our history)

We are stepping into a new season in our church, and we are looking for a committed individual who loves Jesus and loves others. Our goal isn't just to fill a role. We want to prayerfully consider each candidate who may share a common calling and a genuine love for Jesus and others.

If you care deeply for the local church, feel led to shepherd others in the way of Jesus, and are looking for a place to invest your gifts, we invite you to explore what God might have for you at FBC Staunton.

Our Vision for Next Generation Ministry

The next generation represents both our greatest opportunity and our most urgent mission field. Children, teenagers, and young adults need consistent, focused pastoral care and intentional spiritual formation. The Family Pastor/Director will serve as a key ministry leader dedicated to building relationships with the next generations both within our congregation and throughout the greater community.

This is not simply a program coordinator role. It is a pastoral calling: to know families by name, walk with young people through formative seasons of life, and extend the reach of our church into schools, neighborhoods, and the broader community where the next generation lives.
